A fine piece of early carving, is this mid 17thc fragment, coming from a piece of early Flemish furniture....looks like a drawer front....it is decorated with two Hippo Campus head to head with each other and two exotic birds...the carving has a superb colour and is in good condition.
Flemish. C1660-80.
