The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch as a stem-winding movement Grade No 1 which is working well. The movement is signed and it has the serial number 7629351 which dates it back to 1896. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 55mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Tornado model made by the Illinois Watch Case Company. The ornate case is decorated on both the front and the back.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a watch glass which is in good condition, over a signed white enamel dial… which is also in nice condition. The hands are lever set… the lever is inset into the bezel next to the number V.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
