The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch measures 57.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel with a screw on front and back. The case is in good condition, just a slight indentation to the back edge and light surface marking from use but nothing serious at all.

The acrylic lens is in lovely condition.
The dial is signed John Elkan Ltd, London, “Railway” the original retailer of the watch. John Elkan was a retail jeweller who specialised in jewellery, gold and silver goods. The dial has a very faint hairline crack at 6 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
