Description

A late 19thc Art Nouveau folding brass paper rack and stamp box c1880. The paper rack has three folding pierced panels which fold down over the lidded 3 compartment stamp box at the front. The panels and lid are decorated with a repeating flower and stem (daisy) design. The rack stands on a lower footed frame. The folded panels are prevented from bending as the front has a pair of supports each side to keep the rack flat and stable when folded. A useful and portable item no doubt originally intended to be used travelling.
