Victorian Silver Mounted Amethyst Overlay Glass Scent Bottle by Abrahams & Co, Birmingham 1900

Description

This is an unusual late Victorian silver and overlay glass scent bottle in the very sought-after amethyst colour. The waisted body with narrow vertical bands of amethyst glass. The fully hallmarked silver hinged top resting on an amethyst glass collar. The neck fitted with a clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:-

A&Co for Abraham & Co.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "a" for 1900.

Lion Passant.

Condition:

Very Good.

Silver lid in very good condition.

Glass in very good condition.

Strong hinge.

Dimensions:

Height: 11.5cm / 4.4 inches.

Diameter: 6cm / 2.4 inches.
