Oak Settle C.1900

1900 - 1920
Description

Excellent quality oak settle or couch c.1900. In solid oak throughout. Sloping backrest with raised and fielded panels continued (unusually) on the sides. Deep sprung seat and padded arms with vintage upholstery. Stout turned and block front stiles topped with turned pommels repeated at the top of the backrest. Turned front legs, the rear legs angled for stability. Note the little shaped bracket where they meet the frame. Raised on good quality brass castors front and rear. Very good colour and condition with serviceable upholstery. The frame has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
