Elkington Pair of Silver Plated Vases 1868

19th century
Description

A fine pair of silver plated vases. Marked for the celebrated maker Elkington & Co and bearing its date letter for 1868. These statuesque vases have twist bases and necks as well as stylised rams head handles. There is also an etched decoration to the base of the body.

The condition is good overall with no dents or splits. There are a few patches of faint plate wear to the body of the vases - see pictures 2, 3 & 7. However, these remain wonderful quality items.

Weight approx 1.5kg.

Height approx 28cm.

Base diameter approx 9.5cm.
