Beautiful Circular Silver Trinket Box Chester 1911

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A beautiful  silver circular trinket box.   Nicely proportioned the box stands on a flat surface with no feet.   It is a plain polished silver around the body with a very pretty engraved top featuring bows and garlands.   The hinged lid opens and closes precisely.  When opened the original removable interior is revealed, which is decorated with a lovely beige satin and purple velvet.

Hallmarks are visible on the side for the Chester Assay office with a date mark for 1911, with partial marks on the inside of the lid, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the maker''s mark: George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.

Condition: The silver is in great condition. The removal interior box is also in very good condition - some slight wear to the velvet on the underneath commensurate with age.
