Victorian Antique Walnut Davenport Desk by ‘Holland and Sons’

An elegant Victorian antique walnut Davenport desk by ‘Holland and Sons’. The antique walnut Davenport desk has a small compartment to the top with a sloped black leather writing surface, which opens to reveal a neat interior, consisting of two small drawers. Both sides have an arrangement of four drawers, each with wooden knobs, right-hand side being functional, left-hand side being dummy drawers. The antique walnut Davenport desk has decorative carved front columns and is raised on four castors. Beautiful grain throughout. Complete with working locks and keys. Makers mark to the inside of the top drawer.

CONDITION REPORT:

In excellent antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related scratches and splits to the veneer in places (pictured), also minor stains to the interior (pictured). There are also marks to the leather, however very minimal. The antique walnut Davenport desk remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Complete with working locks and keys. Overall, a fantastic example.
