Pair of Georgian Mahogany Side Chairs

Description

A pair of George III mahogany dining chairs, circa 1780, of Chippendale design and generous proportions, the backs with quatrefoil pierced back splats over upholstered drop-in seats and raised on square section supports joined by H-shaped stretchers and scroll corner brackets.

In good structural order, one back leg has an old repair, the seats are good and clean. Would make an elegant pair of side or hall chairs.

95cm high, the deats 54cm wide at the front, 42cm deep and 45cm high.
