Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Tang Dynasty stone carvings are characterised by full-bodied, rounded sculptural forms with fluid carved lines, typically representing animals, deities, or tomb guardians created between 618 and 907 AD.

Sculptors historically utilised locally quarried limestone, sandstone, or marble, hand-carving each piece with iron chisels and wooden mallets to shape the form.

Authentic period examples display characteristic stylistic proportions, soft organic contours, tool markings within protected crevices, and natural weathering patination across the stone surface.

Positioning a carved stone figure on a dark timber console, sideboard top, or open shelving creates textural contrast against modern smooth surfaces and wall finishes.

Dust the carving gently using a dry, soft-bristled brush, avoiding liquid detergents, chemical solvents, or harsh abrasives that could strip the natural patination.
