Handsome antique (19thC) hand-painted porcelain plaque of Tuccia the Vestal Virgin after Angelika Kauffman. The plaque depicts a beautiful maiden as a vestal virgin in classical attire holding an oil lamp, and is after an original entitled ‘Tuccia the Vestal Virgin’ by the late 18th century neoclassical Swiss artist Angelika Kauffman (as noted on the back of the plaque). The 19thC plaque was made by the KPM (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur) factory in Berlin, and measures ca 15 x 11cm, frame (new) 20 x 15cm.
