Georgian Coalport Imari Japan Dessert Plate C.1805

Description

A fine Coalport porcelain lobed dessert plate decorated in the "Japan" style, c.1805-1810, with a large vase of flowers in the centre and gilt panels around the edge sectioning oriental landscape vignettes with storks, butterflies and a very stylised lion. Unmarked.

It measures 21cm (8 1/4") wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high.

In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minor handling wear, just to the gilt on the rim in places.
