Pair of Antique French Carved Walnut Salon Chairs

Description

An incredible pair of antique French salon armchairs in beautifully carved solid walnut. They were made in France, and I would date them from around the 1850-60’s period.

The quality is outstanding, with profuse, deep and intricate floral carving throughout. They are a useful size, with generous proportions and perfect for use in various settings around the home.

We have had the frames stripped and re-polished, and they have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age.

Width – 25 inches , 63 cm

Depth – 24 inches , 61 cm

Height – 34 inches , 86 cm

Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
