Bloor Derby Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer C.1820

Description

A pretty Bloor period Derby porcelain porringer shape tea cup and saucer with a "Dresden" / wishbone handle. Decorated with a wide frieze of a stylized grape vine with individual underglaze blue leaves and rich gilt vine, grapes and tendrils. Gilt border either side of the rim, above the foot and as a stripe down the back of a handle. Red painted mark, c.1820.

The cup measures 5.6cm (2 1/4") high and 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to rim. The saucer measures 14.5cm (5 3/4") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.

In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear. The saucer is finely crazed from manufacture and there are a few spots of discolouration to the reverse.
