Description

Gents 1950s Smiths wrist watch for J W Benson.

The watch has a 15-jewel Smiths movement, stamped Made in England, which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is chromium plated and it is in very nice condition. The case back is stainless steel, signed BWC for the British Watch Case Company.

The lens has the lightest of marking, really only visible through a jeweller’s loupe.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, J W Benson. It is in its original finish with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
