Description

This is a fine example of a wirework basket made of Old Sheffield Plate. Dating to c1780-1800 and with a ducal crest of a swan to the centre of the bowl. With elegant lines and a good strong swing handle.

The condition is very good overall with no dents or splits. All of the wires are intact. The plating is in very order but with small patches of copper bleed to the wirework and the central crest.
