Japanese Meiji (late 19th early 20thC) stag antler netsuke of the oni king, Shuten-doji. Beautifully and finely carved example of this rare subject. Unsigned. One of the best stag antler netsuke I have come across in 25 years. Measures 9cm x 2.5 x 2.5cm.
Superb original condition and patina. A masterpiece.
