Description

Late Victorian pair of dwarf silver candlesticks with hallmarks for London 2896 and makers mark for Horace Woodward & Co Ltd. The candlesticks are cast and the candleholders have an urn shape, with gadrooning, standing on wide gadrooned and stepped bases. The sconces are removable and each bears very clear hallmarks. The hallmarks on the candlestick bases are slightly rubbed but still decipherable. The candlestick bases have bronzed metal plates for stability. They are in very good condition.
