A Fabulous Silver Mounted Crocodile Evening Bag & Purse

1900 - 1920
Description

A fabulous silver mounted crocodile skin evening bag dating from the elegant Art Deco period. This lovely piece is decorated with a hallmarked silver clasp and has a chain link strap. The bag opens to reveal an interior with four compartments, one of which has a sprung clasp for security. Included are the original connected coin purse, a faux tortoiseshell comb, mirror and two vintage Theater tickets for the City Hall Sheffield. The reverse of the bag has a shaped hand strap. A wonderful and evocative piece from the 'Jazz Age', still usable today. Dimensions below.
