London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
It is in great order and is a strong and solid example.

The Elm seat wood grain is beautifully revealed. The backsplat and the turned legs and front supports are well designed and crafted. The low back design ensures that the piece does not dominate and it will function as well as a stand alone chair as it will when grouped with other similar Windsors.

A 44cm seat height makes it easy to entrance and exit the chair.
Overall an excellent example and wonderfully comfortable too.
This chair will make a lovely addition to any setting and is ready to give another 190 years of service.
