Description

Early 20th Century walnut bureau bookcase, the stepped moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors opening to reveal three adjustable shelves, the bottom of the bookcase there are two pull out candle slides, the bureau having a crossbanded fall opening to reveal a lovely fitted interior consisting of a green leather writing surface decorated with blind tooling, a cupboard at the centre flanked either side with pull out slides and drawers, the front of the bureau having two short over two long oak lined drawers, with the original brass plate handles and escutcheons, standing on shaped bracket feet. Circa 1920.
