A good quality boxed Lignum vitae and Boxwood weighted Staunton Chess Set.

The green signature label inside the lid, the design and markings on Knights and Rooks date the set between 1920 & 1930. The King stands at 3.5 inches tall. One rook in each colour bears the crown stamp and the Kings bear 'Jaques London' stamped to the base. A lovely weighted set on green baize bases. The mahogany hinged lid is in excellent condition and each compartment lined in green baize.
