A fine and superb pair of antique George III sterling silver sauce boats of helmet form with plain bodies and engraved armorial crests. They have gadroon decoration around the borders, leaf capped scroll handles and each resting on pedestal bases also with gadroon decoration. These wonderful silver sauce boats would look eye catching on the table and would be perfect to use.
Height: 14.9 cms (5.9'')
Length (from the spout to the back of handle): 23.3 cms (8.8'')
Width: 10.8 cms (4.3'')
Weight: 35.6 troy ounces (1,107 grams)
They were hallmarked in London for 1768 by William Skeen and remain in excellent condition.
