Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
There is a raised gallery to the top and it stands on tapered square legs terminating in spade feet. A really stylish and useful item in very good condition with good warm patina, it would make a great music cabinet, collectors chest, hall unit or filing cabinet. With makers label to the inside of the door: “E Shaw & Sons Cabinet Makers & Upholsterers Bradford.”
