The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
Very ornate gilt decoration over the orange of flowers and stylised leaves. The rims have an impressive gilt gadrooned effect over the white reserved edges and handles. kop and rim edges all thickly gilded. Unmarked, c.1800-1810.

The stand measures 21.7cm (8 1/8") by 16cm (6 1/4") wide and 3cm (1 1/8"). The tureen measures 17.8cm (7") long, 10.2cm (4") wide and 13cm (5 1/8") high and the set together measures 14cm (5 1/2") high.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Very minor surface/handling wear only, basically just stacking wear to the rim of the tureen and the gilt in the centre of the stand. There is a short firing fault inside the base of the tureen.
