Poirot Art Deco has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Very much in the style of the sculptor Edouard Fraisse (1880-1945).
Winners were awarded medals of gold, silver and bronze similar to the athletic competitors. After 1948 the art competitions were removed from the Olympics as most of the artists were professionals.

The model in very good condition, some chips to the alabaster base.
This lamp has recently been rewired with an authentic cord and rocker switch and PAT tested. The two pictures marked with a red arrow show the original working bulb. This will come with the lamp, but a modern torchiere bulb will also be supplied.
