To the front is a lock escutcheon and the hinged lid opens to reveal a stunning interior of red silk moire and a number of graduated compartments. Made by the great William Comyns, this superb piece shows the great silversmith and craftsman at the peak of his skills. A fabulous antique example to dress a desk and ready for immediate use.
