Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has an over-sailing top above two drawers, each with original brass handles. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size, offering lots of work space but not too large. This piece was probably made originally as a serving table or dressing table, but makes a wonderful desk.

Solid and sturdy. Good colour. marks, scuffs and wear commensurate with age. Two small filled holes on the top towards the back.
