18th Century Polished Steel Bed Drape Watch Hook

Description

A late 18th century polished steel hook for attaching to bed drapes to hang a pocket watch on at night.

These can sometimes be referred to as tapestry hooks.

They are rare survivors due to their size, and I can’t believe that this is the second one we have found in a year! The hook is very sharp.
