Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
A truly stunning Georgian Bow front chest of drawers.
We are delighted to bring to you the finest example of a very rare late Georgian (circa 1830) 5 deep descending drawer chest of drawers in Mahogany which has been sympathetically restored and ideal for any period property.
The chest has its lovely cross-banded edge which nicely frames the top. This chest features cock beaded edges which surrounds its stunning flame grain Mahogany bowed drawer fronts. The drawers also feature beautifully turned Mahogany knobs and brass keyhole escutcheons in front of its original brass locks (no keys). The finely dovetailed Oak lined drawers are in great condition and feature their original blue paper lining in good condition. The drawer runners have been repaired and rebuilt as necessary so this chest has no drawer drop when opened, they work smoothly good for many more years of use. This chest of drawers is complete with a shaped frieze below the drawers and stands on its original finely turned legs.

There are no loose joints or wobbles and the chest is free from woodworm. This chest of drawers has been carefully cleaned and waxed, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item there are obviously marks, scratches, dents and some old repairs here and there as expected with anything of this age. However, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
