Fabulous French Guilloche Enamel Compact, Import Marks for London 1920

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a wonderful and rare French silver mounted guilloche enamel circular compact. The front decorated with anthemions on a pale green duc-egg blue guilloche enamel background within a white enamel border. The sides and back with blue guilloche enamel. The hinged cover opening to reveal a gilt interior fitted with the original mirror.

Hallmarks:

French Marks

London Import marks

Date letter "e" for 1920.

Importers marks: H.C.F Ld

Condition:

Excellent.

Enamel in very good conditIon.

Strong hinge.

Dimensions:

Diameter: 5cm / 2 inches.
