Art Deco 1.06 Carat Mong Hsu Burmese Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1935

1920 - 1940
Description

A fantastic natural, unenhanced Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring. The ruby in the centre – certified as natural, unheated, and originating from Myanmar (Burma) displays a bright pinkish red. The stone is secured by eight yellow gold claws within a surround of eight old cut diamonds in a white gold coronet setting. A further two diamonds (one each side) are set in the white gold shoulders, leading to a slim 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a ruby report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the ruby shows no indications of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin, from Mong Hsu.

Cut – Cushion cut ruby and old cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are between F and G.

Clarity – The ruby is SI. The diamonds are SI1 to SI2.

Carat – The ruby is approximately 1.06 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.28 carat

Circa – 1925.

Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The ruby is approximately 6.2 x 5.5mm. The head of the ring is 13.1 x 12.4mm and sits 6.3mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white and yellow gold. Tested.
