Antique Oak Pedestal Roll Top Desk

An attractive early 20th century antique oak pedestal roll top desk. The antique oak roll top desk has a S-shaped roll top that opens to reveal an arrangement of several pigeon holes and two drawers, each with wooden knobs. The antique oak roll top desk base consists of an arrangement of seven drawers around the central kneehole, with the ones to either side having long wooden cup handles. Above the drawers are also two pull-out writing surfaces. Comes apart in four sections for ease of transport. Complete with working lock and key. Beautiful colour and grain throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the interior, drawer fronts, sides and roll top (pictured). There are further marks and scratches to the top, also shrinkage splits (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the desk. The antique oak roll top desk remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers and roll top running well. Complete with working lock and key. Comes apart in four sections for ease of transport. Overall, a great example of its kind.
