Bronze Sculpture of a Horse C.1920

Description

Delightful early 20th.c. bronze sculpture of a horse c.1920. Beautifully cast in bronze as a stallion with saddle and short trimmed tail. Presented in an unusual pose, apparently having dismounted its rider he reaches round to lick one of his rear hooves. On a modelled base. Sold together with what appears to be the original wooden plinth covered in pink velvet (heavily worn). Missing the stirrup from the rear side. Otherwise very good condition with excellent colour. Horse dimensions: 9½", 3½", 6".

Overall dimensions: Width 10½" Height 9" Depth 4½"
