Turner of Colchester Smaller 10" Fusee Dial Clock

Description

An English fusee dial wall clock. A pale mahogany case with a brass bezel surround. A smaller, 10" painted dial signed 'Turner, Colchester' with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. A nice old clock repair label to the inside from Suffolk. Circa 1860.

Turner & Sons of Colchester are listed in Loomes 'Clockmakers and Watchmakers of the World' book as working from 1820-1873.
