Georgian Pie Crust Edge Mahogany Tilt-top Tripod Supper Table (george III Late C18th)

A mid Georgian period, mahogany tilt-top tripod supper table, dating from the late C18th. A solid round mahogany top with lipped pie-crust edge, with tilt mechanism. Supported by a well proportioned turned stem with writhed carving to the base, raised on a tripod of cabriole legs on pad feet.
 
A attractive table with several flaws, good overall colour and polish, and ready for use. Cleaned and waxed.

This table measures approximately 72 cm (28.5'') tall, and 84 cm (33'') in diameter.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in reasonable condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Good overall colour. Top and base are likely a marriage, though of similar ages. Top with marks, blemishes and a couple of repairs. Repairs to under stretchers and block. Base is good. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
