A C19th large earthenware storage jar with lid. Likely English, this large jar with semi glazed exterior, glazed interior. Twin handles, and wooden lid with cast iron handle.
A charming and highly functional period storage jar, numerous signs of use and wear but still highly serviceable.
Dimensions:
This jar measures approximately 52 cm (20.5'') tall to the top of the lid handle, 47.5 cm (19'') to the top rim, and 37 cm (14.5'') wide across the jars handles.
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This storage jar is in a good but well used condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some marks and blemishes, in keeping with a piece of this age, including chips and losses to the glaze. The wooden lid has natural aged splits through the grain. Very serviceable and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
