John Ridgway Porcelain Tea Plate, Pattern 2/6219 C.1835

A pretty porcelain tea / cake serving plate by Ridgway in the ''Imperial'' shape with a shaped rim and moulded detail to each side of a thistle and shamrock framing a central rose. A pale grey ground to the edge and finely painted garden flowers with gilt foliage and starburst to the centre. Marked with pattern number 2/6219 in red, c.1835.
 
It measures 25.2cm (9 7/8'') by 23.5cm (9 1/4'') wide and 3cm (1 7/8'') high.
 
In very good condition with no damage or repair and minor gilt wear mainly in the centre from stacking.
