Ghiordes village rug. Western anatolia (turkish),circa 1890

A wonderful throw anywhere rug with pale biscuit and pale lemon ground colours.

Not too busy a design with honeycomb corner spandrels and hints of red with four stylised tulip motifs.

Hand washed,last images & dusted.

All over low pile,couple of small hardly noticeable repairs to centre area. Even minor fringes. Double bound side cords.

6 foot 7 inches by 3 foot 8 inches. 201cm X 112cm. At widest points. Wool pile hand knotted onto cotton foundations.

Very good value for money for a ghiordes rug at price £499 gbp. Bank transfers,viewings,discussions,etc all welcomed.
