Antique Regency Gilt Wood Convex Eagle Mirror

19th century
Description

A fantastic original antique Regency period convex mirror with a carved eagle mount. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1820-1830’s.

The quality is excellent, the eagle is beautifully carved with fine details. The circular frame has lovely ebonised ball fixtures all around the border and a grooved ebonised border around the convex glass.

The condition is very good for its age, the eagle has signs of some historical repairs but nothing very noticeable. There is just some minor surface wear to the frame.
