A Most Unusual Edwardian Silver Mounted Match Striker

A fine silver mounted match striker, dating from the Edwardian era. This handsome example has an unusual cut glass bowl. The body has a squared and frosted pedestal base for striking and a silver collar surrounding the match reservoir. A good and rather unusual collector's item. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Good with no cracks or chips to the glass body and no splits or holes to the silver. There are a couple of minor pinprick bumps, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Softening but readable.

Date :- Birmingham 1905.
