Superb George V Solid Silver Jewellery Box by Synyer & Beddoes, Birmingham 1918

Description

This very elegant George V silver jewellery box is dated Birmingham 1918. Of oval form, the plain hinged cover with raised bluebell border. The plain sides with four cabriole legs. The hinged lid opening to reveal a gilt inner lid and the original purple velvet interior.

Black Morocco leather underside.

Hallmarks:

S*B for Synyer & Beddoes.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "t" for 1918.

Dimensions:

Length: 8cm / 3.2 inches.

Height: 4.5cm / 1.4 inches.

Width: 6cm / 2.2 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

No dents.
