This Pair of Antique oak hanging cabinets were made in the 19thc. formerly part of a plate rack from a period dresser.

They were cleverly adapted using the cupboards and other parts of a redundant plate rack. Quite often the racks were surplus, due to height or the racks not being practical in the home. Therefore, skilled cabinetmakers use these to make use of the wonderful cupboards to each side.

Each cabinet has a shaped and inlaid door, each opening to reveal a shelf (one with a pair of spice drawers.)
