ANTIQUE #SA939227

Antique Early Metalware 17thc Silver Embossed Knitting Sheath. Dutch C1680-1720.

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A rare survival from the late 17thc /18thc is this beatifully decorated ladies knitting sheath....it is embossed with a party scene, showing a happy couple dancing and someone toasting the happy couple with an elegant wine glass of the time...I like the period costumes the couple are wearing....the sheath is in excellent condition for its age and obviously no hall marks....too early.

Dutch. C1680-C1720.
