A rare early 19thc birch lidded turned box....used for gentlemen''s shirt collars and with a separate lidded compartment inside for storage of shirt studs....it has gained a very good colour with inlaid circle decoration on the lid.....it has the deep pole-lathe marks on the underside which are always pleasing to see,...excellent condition.
English / Scottish. C1800-20.
