English Sterling Silver and Tortoise Shell Handled Magnifying Glass

Description

A very stylish and handsome magnifying glass to grace the finest of desk-tops.

The handle is made from English solid or sterling silver with the ferrule hallmarked for Sheffield 1912 together with the makers mark W&H for the well regarded Walker & Hall.

Unusually both sides are set with a wonderful panel of antique tortoiseshell with elegant silver pique inlay to the front panel, quite stunning. There is additional detail in the raised continuous Acanthus leaf border and chain design around the sides of the handle,

The magnifier is of course new so is therefore clear, undamaged with wonderful magnification making is usable as decorative. Measurements: 7 7/8" in length with a glass diameter of 3 1/2". Excellent condition.
