Youngs Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
With her head slightly turned to her left, she wears a pearl neckless with matching earrings, and an extravagant low cut silk like dress.
The portrait is housed in a gilt carved period frame, the canvas has a couple of very minor losses to paint work commensurate with age. Overall it is in excellent condition.
