Superb Silver Asparagus Tongs London 1907 William Hutton & Sons

An absolutely superb pair of Edwardian silver Asparagus Tongs. These tongs are a good heavy gauge silver and are really sturdy. They have a very stylish, art deco appearance with elegantly shaped tongs and a lovely plain silver polished handle. The tongs are fitted with a central support for tension enabling movement. Clear hallmarks are visible in several please: inside the handle and on the tension support, for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1907, along with the Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver and the silver maker''s mark for William Hutton & Sons.
A wonderful pair, they would grace any dining setting beautifully! Fabulous as an unusual wedding gift!
