Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is a lovely size and is of amazing quality. The top and drawer fronts have cross banded edges, with inlaid double herringbone borders. There are solid walnut moulded edges top & bottom. This sits on bracket feet, with high quality brass handles and escutcheons. The walnut grain patterns and colours are absolutely stunning.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some old wear and minor marks here and there beneath the polish.
This chest has a wonderful colour & is full of character.
